'We do not want do win all the races' - Niki Lauda fears Mercedes dominance bad for F1

Niki Lauda does not want his Mercedes team to win every race in Formula One this season.

So far, the German team have enjoyed a clean sweep this term with Lewis Hamilton winning three Grands Prix and Nico Rosberg the other one.

But Lauda, who is a non-executive chairman of Mercedes, says it is important other teams make more of a fight of it otherwise interest in the season could dwindle.

“We do not want to win all the races,” said the three-time world champion. “It definitely wouldn’t be good for Formula One.

“What we are going through now at Mercedes is the harvest of many months of work.”
