Portsmouth get tough with Spurs in tug-of-war for Lassana Diarra

Portsmouth have warned Spurs that promising France midfielder Lassana Diarra is not for sale.


Tottenham boss Juande Ramos is keen to add the 23-year-old to his midfield for next season and the former Chelsea and Arsenal player is thought to have a £10million buy-out clause written into his deal at Fratton Park.

But Portsmouth chief executive Peter Storrie insists that Diarra is going nowhere after only signing for the club in January.

"Lassana is one of our most important players and only arrived at the club in January.," said Storrie. "He is not for sale and that is the end of it."
