Quins snap up Robinson

12 April 2012

Harlequins have made Australian forward Chad Robinson their first signing for 2009.

The 27-year-old utility player will join the Londoners from Parramatta Eels on a two-year contract, and is expected to arrive in November to begin pre-season training.

Robinson, who split his time at Parramatta with a three-year stint at Sydney Roosters, is primarily a second-rower but can also play at loose forward and prop.

"This is a position that we have been looking to recruit for for quite some time," said coach Brian McDermott.

"While we will still continue to show faith in our youth, we need to have a seasoned player in this position and we are very pleased that that person is Chad."

Robinson added: "The more I read and research about London and Harlequins RL the more excited I get."
