Ridsdale favours Old Firm switch
Leeds' Peter Ridsdale has become the most high-profile Premiership chairman to publicly talk up the idea of Rangers and Celtic joining England's top flight.
Earlier this week FIFA vetoed the possibility of Scotland's two biggest clubs heading south of the border for their league fixtures.
But, despite some misgivings, the Elland Road chief admits he has been attracted to the idea.
"From a personal point of view, I would welcome the Old Firm in the Premiership as they are two outstanding teams," he told the Guardian.
"But there would be a lot of ramifications and they need to be looked at - like what would happen to Uefa Cup places? Would they represent Scotland or England? What happens to the different football associations in the respective countries?"
