Robin Francis beat his own British record to qualify fastest for tonight's 400 metres medley final at the European Short-Course Championships in Antwerp.

Francis, 19, who swims for the University of Bath, led the field throughout this morning's third and final heat to qualify in four minutes 11.29 seconds.
