Robinson ruled out for Spurs

Tottenham will begin their Kappa Cup campaign in Seville against Feyenoord tonight without England goalkeeper Paul Robinson and new midfield signing Sean Davis.

Both players failed to travel to Spain yesterday for personal reasons although they will join the squad for Thursday's game against either Real Betis or Partizan Belgrade. Kasey Keller is set to deputise for Robinson tonight.

Spurs also included two trialists in the their Seville squad - Dagui Bakari and Edson Silva - while Simon Davies is sidelined following an operation on his shins.

Striker Robbie Keane travelled as part of his rehabilitation programme following the knee-ligament injury which will rule him out of the first two months of the new season.

Spurs' latest signing, Swedish international left-back Erik Edman, has also made the trip.

The club take on Feyenoord at 7.15pm local time tonight and the game will be followed by Real Betis's clash against Belgrade.

The winners of both games will play in the final on Thursday.
