Roma take over at the top

Roma took pole position in Champions League Group B after three second-half goals from Emerson Ferreira and substitutes Vincenzo Montella and Damiano Tommassi gave them a 3-0 home win over Barcelona.

Roma have six points from four games, with Barcelona second on five. Galatasaray have four points and Liverpool three.

Bayern Munich are level on eight points with Manchester United in Group A after a 1-0 home win over Boavista, the goal coming from Roque Santa Cruz, but are in second place on goal difference.
