Ronaldo: No Real deal yet

12 April 2012

Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo revealed that his future will be decided in the "next few days".

Talking to Portuguese channel TVI, the winger agreed with FIFA president Sepp Blatter's comments about "modern slavery" in football, and hinted he wished for a moved to Spain.

He said: "At the moment there is no agreement with Real Madrid. We have to wait for the next few days to see, but I do not know where I will begin next season. This is all I have to say at the moment."

Ronaldo is currently recovering from ankle surgery after taking part for Portugal in Euro 2008, and - regarding his injury - the winger confirmed he would be out for as long as three months but remained upbeat about his rehabilitation.

He added: "I'm very well. I'm optimistic. My recovery is going well. Everything is fine."
