Samoa prop Logovi’i Mulipola has signed a short-term deal with Saracens to plug a front-row injury gap.

The former Leicester and Newcastle prop has joined Saracens on a three-month deal, with the Men in Black missing four front-rowers

Marco Riccioni, Eroni Mawi, Ollie Hoskins and Ralph Adams-Hale are all out of action through injury.

Saracens have turned to 36-year-old Mulipola, who enjoyed a similar short-term injury stint at Montpellier during the World Cup.

The club have registered Mulipola for the Champions Cup, and the ex-Gloucester star could make his debut in Saturday’s tournament opener.

They will face the Bulls in Pretoria, and Mulipola is on hand for the Loftus Versfeld encounter.

“Logovi’i is a player with great experience and we are looking forward to seeing him in a Saracens shirt,” said Saracens rugby director Mark McCall

“He is already settling in with us in Pretoria and we are confident he will be a great addition to the group.”
