Ryan Giggs believes Manchester United will take a step closer to their 18th League title against Manchester City on Sunday, despite their punishing end-of-season run in.

The derby comes at the end of a draining fortnight that has included back-to-back encounters with Arsenal, the comeback against Tottenham and a far more comfortable trip to Middlesbrough.

A win over visiting City will take United to within four points of a Premier League title hat-trick and Giggs said: "At this part of the season you want to be involved in big games all the time - and we are."

City can expect to face Dimitar Berbatov and Carlos Tevez along with Paul Scholes and, maybe, Giggs, who has appeared in 28 derby clashes.
