Stoke back to winning ways

Mali striker Mamady Sidibe scored only his second goal in 32 games this season to secure Stoke's first win in four and keep them in second place in the Championship.

Manager Tony Pulis said : "Sidibe doesn't score many but he is a handful and works hard for the team.

"It was a very important three points. Now we need to get another winning run going again."

Norwich dominated but were denied repeatedly by on-loan Wigan goalkeeper Carlo Nash and Sidibe snatched victory by heading home midfielder Rory Delap's 58th-minute long throw.

Norwich manager Glenn Roeder admitted : "It was rough justice but no excuses. It was of our own making. We shot ourselves in the foot again."
