Novak Djokovic insists he has not thought about his Wimbledon chances improving with Andy Murray and Rafael Nadal out of the men’s singles draw.

Djokovic was two sets to one down in his quarter-final against Marin Cilic but recovered to win 6-1, 3-6, 6-7, 6-2, 6-2 on Court One.

“It does not affect me at all because I just focus on my own matches,” he said. “That is something I can influence. The media and fans are always expecting the top guys to reach the final stages and, if it does not happen, it is obviously a surprise.

“But it shows that you can’t underestimate any opponents at Grand Slams. There are new young players who are challenging the best and who are now beating the best players in the world. That is why they deserve to be where they are now.”
