Thaksin to return

Manchester City owner Thaksin Shinawatra will return to England on Thursday in a bid to steady the faltering club.
The ousted former Thai prime minister goes before his country's Supreme Court on Wednesday on charges of corruption. However, the court has granted Shinawatra permission to leave on a four-week trip, providing he reports back on April 11.
"That is my commitment to Manchester City," he said. "I feel like they are losing too many games in the last three to four months while I am still busy. So I have to go back and tighten the bolt."
City have won just two of their last 12 matches in the Barclays Premier League to put a dent in their hopes of qualifying for the UEFA Cup.
