Three weeks ago they were hot favourites to win the Worthington Cup, had a good chance of going all the way in the FA Cup and Glenn Hoddle was being tipped for a knighthood. Since then, not only have the wheels come off, but the big end has gone. Hoddle, whose side have now conceded 12 goals in their last three matches, must somehow make things roadworthy again on Monday against a Charlton team who relish playing London opposition.
