Towers look to stand up to Germans

London Towers will try to reproduce their fine domestic form tonight when they face Frankfurt in the opening fixture of the Euroleague at Crystal Palace.

Towers are already four points clear at the top of the league's Southern Conference and through to the quarterfinals of the National Cup, but coach Nick Nurse knows the Germans will be a different prospect.

"They are very big, typical of a German team," he said. "They have someone who is 6ft 9in at the No 3 spot, someone who is 6ft 10in at No 4 and 7ft at No 5. But I think we will match up with them pretty well because I think we can handle their size.
