Wales turn to the lawyers

The Welsh FA are consulting lawyers and have until midnight on Friday to appeal against UEFA's decision not to ban Russia from Euro 2004.

Yegor Titov failed a drugs test after the first leg of their play-off against Wales in Moscow and played in the return fixture.

Wales wanted Russia expelled in addition to the player's year ban, but UEFA's disciplinary body threw out their case.

Manager Mark Hughes said: "We'll have to look at the judgement. I hoped they would take the opportunity to send a message to everybody in our sport, but they have not."
