Wasps are confident that England fly-half Danny Cipriani will sign a new contract with the Guinness Premiership side before the start of the 2010 RBS 6 Nations.

Cipriani is out of contract at the end of the current season and has been linked with London rivals Harlequins and French giants Stade Francais. The 22-year-old is free to talk to other clubs from Friday.

However, Wasps director of rugby Tony Hanks expects the player to remain at Adams Park, telling the Daily Telegraph: "Until people have signed the bottom line you're always wondering a little bit. But my relationship with Danny is pretty good. He's someone we would like to be part of our future and Danny wants to be here - it would be nice over the next four or five weeks to get it sorted."
