12 April 2012

Everton cruised into the last 16 of the Carling Cup following a 4-0 victory over Luton, but they ended the night with captain David Weir in hospital having a head scan.

Everton were two ahead at the break through Tim Cahill and a Keith Keane own goal, with James McFadden and substitute Victor Anichebe netting in the second half when the Toffees threatened to run riot.
