West Ham v Sunderland

13 April 2012

(3pm Saturday, Upton Park)

Tickets: £26-£28 (£15-£19 concs). Tel. 020 8548 2700
Last season: 0-2 (Varga, Hutchison)
Facts: West Ham haven't recorded a home victory over Sunderland since goals from Slaven Bilic and Florin Raducioiu gave them a 2-0 win in December 1996
Recommended pub: Prince of Wales (Princes Terrace)
Ian Pearce's late stunner at Tottenham last weekend stretched West Ham's unbeaten run to four matches and kept them in a remarkable seventh spot in the table. They will need to beat Sunderland tomorrow to stay up there, but Glenn Roeder and his feisty outfit will fancy their chances against a Black Cats side whose luck seems to have run out in recent weeks. West Ham's defence must keep a wary eye out for Kevin Phillips tomorrow, though Roeder will need no reminding of the striker's talent after discovering him in the first place.
Verdict: HAMMERS KEEP THAT RUN GOING
