WIMBLEDON LIVE DAY 10: WOMEN'S SEMI-FINALS DAY

16.30: We're going with serve on Court One, in what has become a titanic battle. it's now 4-4 between Clement and Schuettler. Surely the biggest winner has to be Rafel Nadal, who lies in wait tomorrow for the winner.

16.20: Back under way and on Centre Court Serena wastes no time in wrapping up the first set 6-2. Unless something extraodrinary happens, we're heading for an all-Williams final.

16.05: The covers are coming off at the All England Club and we should be under way again soon weather permitting.

15.41: Zheng is broken for the second time, but credit to her - she bounces back from three set points down at 0-40 to close the gap to 2-5. Then the rains come and the players are forced into the locker room.

15.32: The second superb tie-break in succession and Clement fights for his life to take it, intially losing a 6-4 lead but then later making no mistake to win it 9-7 and take the match into a decider.

15.26: Nothing to separate Clement and Schuettler again in this set, and we're heading for a tie-break. Meanwhile Serena has stolen a march already on Zheng, breaking her in the opening game and leading 3-1 in the first set.

15.10: It's actually a splendid brusing battle on Court One where Clement and Schuettler are exchanging powerful blows. It's now 3-3 in the fourth set.

14.53: VENUS WILLIAMS INTO FINAL The defending champion is just too good and wins the tie-break 7-3 and completes a 6-1, 7-6 win.

14.48: Both players making mistakes in the tie-break - it's 3-3 in points.

14.46: Six games each between Williams and Dementieva - it's tie-break time.

14.38: Credit to Dementieva in this second set - she refuses to be bullied into submission by Venus and has hung in there to draw level at 5-5.

14.24: Venus and Dementieva are level at 3-3 in their second set.

14.22: Magnificent tie-break on Court One. Clement saves four set points with a succession of superb backhands and volleys, leaving Schuettler stunned. Credit to the German though as he picks himself up to win two points in a row and clinch the tie-break 8-6. He now leads 2-1 in sets but there is plenty of mileage left in this one methinks.

14.17: Clement and Schuettler are entering a third set tie-break.

14.04: Clement and Schuettler are level at 5-5 in their third set on Court One.

14.02: Venus relentlessly breaks again to go 2-0 up in the second set, but just when all looked lost Dementieva finds some nice returns and then a flukey net cord gives her the break against the Venus serve to come back to 2-1 down.

13.48: Venus seals the first set 6-1.

13.45: Dementieva stops the rot, winning her first game, but Venus hits back quickly to go 5-1 ahead.

13.32: Venus is playing some very powerful tennis, with some booming groundstrokes proving too much for Dementieva. At this rate this match won't last long - it's 4-0 to Venus.

13.20: Venus has made a fine start to her semi-final, breaking serve and leading 2-0. It;s 1-1 between Clement and Schuettler.

13.10: Venus begins her semi against Dementieva.

12.45: On Court One, Rainer Schuettler and Arnaud Clement will resume their mens quarter-final encounter, with the two currently level at one set each.

12.30: All eyes on the ladies today - it's semi-finals day, with Venus Williams taking on Elena Dementieva and Jie Zheng attempting to upset the odds again against Serena Williams.
