Gang police are investigating after a shooting on Boxing Day left a man in hospital.

The victim, a man in his 30s, was found with gunshot wounds to his leg after the incident in west London.

Police had been called to Standard Road, North Acton, at about 5.45am.

He was taken to hospital but his injuries were not thought to be serious, police said.

Officers from the Met’s Trident unit are investigating.

A spokesman for Scotland Yard said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish what type of weapon was used.

“There has been no arrest at this stage.”

Anyone with information that may assist the investigation should call police via 101 or, to remain anonymous, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
