Chelsea will meet Nottingham Forest in the third-round of the FA Cup.

Maurizio Sarri’s side welcome the Championship side on the weekend beginning Friday 4 January.

The Blues are reigning FA Cup champions having beaten Manchester United in last season’s final with Eden Hazard scoring the decisive goal from the penalty spot in the first-half.

They beat Norwich City, Newcastle United, Hull City, Leicester City and Southampton en route to reaching the final in what would be Antonio Conte’s final game in charge.

Chelsea have won English football’s oldest competition eight times with five of those successes coming in the last 11 years.

Sarri’s side are still challenging on all four fronts this season, having reached the knockout stages of the Europa League and the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup – where they host Bournemouth on 19 December.

The Blues sit seven points clear of Premier League leaders Manchester City but will hope to cut that gap when they welcome Pep Guardiola’s side to Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
